About
I began roaming the Internet at the age of seven, under the watchful supervision of my father. It was there that I got my first interaction with online communities: namely, the Compuserve chat communities of old. In 2001, my friends and I created a small website through Yahoo’s Geocities web hosting service. They almost completely lost interest maintaining the site the moment we finished creating it, so I began to use it as a place to host my writing. I completed a short story (if you can call 50 pages short) and kept a private blog on the site until 2003.
Since 2002, I’ve kept several private blogs where I’ve hosted my thoughts and feelings to friends and strangers alike. It was a way for me to organize my thoughts in an environment where I wouldn’t necessarily be alienated by adults or teachers. I was able to roam free and develop myself as a writer, and I’m thankful for that. Today, I still keep a private blog, but my desire to write for a more professional audience drew me to create this website.
I’m a 21-year old Pennsylvania-born student who is currently studying journalism at Temple University. I come from a family who, through thick and thin, have always managed to support me when I needed them the most. They continue to support me as I make an important change in my life: the beginning of my career as a writer and the end of a handful of years in retail and food service. Their understanding is incredibly important to me as they support me not only financially, but emotionally.
This page will always be under construction, because my life is still unfolding before me, and will continue to do so for a long time.
